Deepening Our Presence in the African Seed Market and Ushering in a New Chapter of Global Cooperation—Minpack Technology’s International Trade Department Travels to South Africa to Attend the AFSTA 2026 Seed Congress

Niu Zezhi, General Manager of Minpack Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., together with Mr. Akbar from the International Department, traveled to Cape Town, South Africa, to attend the AFSTA 2026 Seed Congress, scheduled for March 23–25, 2026. Minpack Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. is a member of AFSTA, the most influential non-profit industry organization in Africa’s seed sector. This year’s congress brings together more than 120 member organizations from across Africa and around the world, with a core mission to promote trade in high-quality seeds and technological innovation in Africa, thereby bolstering the continent’s agricultural food security. With the theme “EMPOWERING AFRICA'S FUTURE, ONE SEED AT A TIME,” the event is the largest and most influential annual industry gathering in Africa’s seed sector, drawing participants from the entire value chain—including seed companies, agricultural institutions, and seed-packaging equipment suppliers—from countries worldwide. It serves as a pivotal platform for connecting African seed markets with global markets.

During the conference, the Minpack Technology team provided a comprehensive showcase of Minpack’s core technologies and proven solutions for the seed industry, with particular emphasis on high-speed seed counting and packaging equipment as well as high-speed seed weighing and packaging systems. These solutions address the packaging needs of a wide range of seed categories, including vegetable seeds and grain seeds, attracting seed companies, traders, and agricultural cooperatives from numerous African countries such as Zambia, Zimbabwe, Sudan, Nigeria, and Kenya, as well as from India, France, the Netherlands, and other regions around the world, all of whom stopped by to engage in discussions. In response to the specific requirements of different regional markets, the team offered customized packaging solutions and end-to-end technical support, resulting in the signing of several letters of intent on-site. This not only further strengthened the company’s brand presence in the African and global seed markets but also laid a solid foundation for its future expansion into diverse overseas markets.

This trip to South Africa represents not only a pivotal strategic move for Minpack Technology to expand into the African market, but also a critical step in putting our corporate vision—“leveraging packaging technology to drive global seed industry development”—into practice. Moving forward, Minpack Technology will continue to deepen its presence in international markets, focusing on the evolving needs of global agriculture. By delivering higher-quality products and more professional services, we will support the upgrading of the global seed industry and the advancement of agricultural modernization, while steadily expanding our overseas footprint and achieving high-quality, globalized growth.
