Tomato seed counting and packaging machine

Tomato seeds are small and lightweight, making manual counting prone to significant errors and resulting in low packaging efficiency. Conventional weight‑based packaging often leads to inconsistent seed counts per bag. To address this, Minpack Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. has developed a vision‑based seed‑packaging system. The MG‑130EC2 is a fully electric, compact pre‑formed‑bag seed‑counting and packaging machine, specifically designed for sorting and dispensing solanaceous seeds. It perfectly meets the needs of small‑batch orders for tomato, pepper, eggplant, and various melon and gourd seeds. Leveraging a mature vision‑counting architecture, it allows users to freely set the target seed count per bag within a range of 20 to 2,000 seeds. Even during high‑volume packaging, each bag maintains highly consistent seed counts, with stable and reliable counting accuracy.

The equipment features an advanced dust‑removal system, ensuring that your seeds—whether coated or dusty—are free of contaminants without the need for manual re‑cleaning. Our machine can simultaneously remove dust and count seeds, maintaining accurate seed‑counting performance while effectively filtering out particulate matter.

The entire machine employs an all‑electric drive architecture, perfectly suited to the clean production environment of seed processing, fully preserving the seeds’ original quality without adversely affecting subsequent germination rates or storage stability. The equipment supports a wide range of bag sizes, accommodating as small as 80×120 mm and as large as 140×210 mm; it is compatible with commonly used seed packaging on the market, including tomato aluminum‑foil pouches and color‑printed three‑side‑seal seed bags. The complete process—bagging, opening the bag mouth, seed filling, heat sealing, and product discharge—is fully automated, eliminating the tedious manual step of repeatedly placing seeds into bags and significantly reducing labor costs.

The machine features a compact, space‑saving design, with overall dimensions of 1200 mm × 750 mm × 1530 mm and a net weight of approximately 200 kg. Its small footprint makes it ideal for flexible deployment in both medium‑ and small‑scale seed‑packaging facilities and retail‑level small‑batch processing operations. Assuming a standard pack size of 1,000 tomato seeds per bag, the dual‑channel seed counting and packaging system delivers a throughput of 6 to 8 bags per minute, easily handling routine orders as well as urgent, small‑batch packaging tasks.

The machine features a touchscreen control system, allowing all parameters to be adjusted intuitively on the panel. When switching between different tomato varieties, simply set the target fruit count; with a low learning curve, operators can quickly become proficient after minimal training. Routine calibration and maintenance are also remarkably convenient.
